Tragic Car Accident in Virginia Claims Lives of Two Nepali

Kathmandu – Two Nepali nationals lost their lives in a tragic car accident in Chantilly, Virginia, USA. The deceased have been identified as 55-year-old Karn Khadka, who was driving the vehicle, and 20-year-old Nischal Bhatt.

According to NBC Washington, the incident occurred early Thursday morning when their car skidded on ice and plunged into a frozen pond within the premises of the Wyndham Hotel in Chantilly. The vehicle sank into 10 feet of icy water, and by the time police reached the scene for rescue, both had already died from drowning.

Khadka had been working in housekeeping at the same hotel and had recently brought his nephew, Bhatt, to the U.S. with hopes of helping him secure a job at the hotel as well.

Though the accident occurred earlier, the news is being reported now.
