Himal Hub / Newly appointed Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Bishwanath Paudel, has taken the oath of office. He was sworn in by Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Prakash Man Singh Raut.
Following the oath ceremony, Paudel is scheduled to visit the Ministry of Finance for a brief meeting, according to NRB spokesperson Suman Neupane.
He will then proceed to Nepal Rastra Bank to officially assume his duties as governor. Dr. Paudel was appointed on Tuesday by the cabinet. As per constitutional provisions, a governor appointed by the cabinet must take the oath of office before the Chief Justice.
