Indian Forces Take Part in Joint War Games

Indian troops have taken part in the Russian-led Zapad-2025 military exercises, Russian state agency TASS reported on Tuesday, underscoring Moscow’s close ties with New Delhi. This comes as India’s relations with Washington face strain following heavy tariffs imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump.

According to India’s Ministry of Defence, a 65-member contingent of the armed forces was deployed for the five-day drills, jointly organized by Russia and Belarus. The large-scale exercise, designed as a showcase of firepower, aims to test combat readiness in the event of a potential invasion.
