Himal Hub/The Government of Nepal will be observing Constitution Day and National Day 2082 on Friday, September 19, with the central ceremony scheduled at the Army Pavilion, Tundikhel, from 3:30 PM onwards.
President Ram Chandra Paudel will grace the event as the Chief Guest, while Prime Minister Sushila Karki is set to deliver an address, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs. Joint Secretary Rhishi Ram Tiwari informed that the celebration will reflect the country’s present political context.
A main committee was formed on August 24 to oversee the nationwide celebrations, marking ten years since the promulgation of Nepal’s Constitution. The Constitution of Nepal (2072), declared on September 20, 2015, stands as a milestone achievement born out of the people’s long struggle and sacrifices.
Alongside the central function, various events will be organized at the provincial and local levels, highlighting the Constitution’s historical background, its significance, and the values it embodies.
