Himal Hub / Police have arrested a person for attacking a security guard of Garima Development Bank Limited with a knife in Biruwa Rural Municipality–1 of Syangja district.
The arrested individual has been identified as Mahendra Narayan Shrestha of Biruwa Rural Municipality, Syangja.
According to preliminary investigation, the suspect attacked the bank’s security guard after consuming alcohol, said Dadhiram Neupane, Chief of the District Police Office, Syangja, while speaking to Banking News.
The suspect stabbed Sher Bahadur Thapa of Syangja on various parts of his body, leaving him injured. Following information received about the incident, a police team deployed from Biruwa Archale Police Post, Syangja, immediately arrested the accused.
Police stated that Shrestha was arrested from Biruwa Bazaar and that further investigation is underway after obtaining a seven-day remand from the Syangja District Court on charges of attempted murder.
