Himal Hub / A YouTuber named Roshan Pokharel was arrested in Panchthar, Nepal, on April 10, 2026 (Chaitra 26) for allegedly posting content containing abusive and insulting language against Prime Minister Balen Shah and other political leaders. Pokharel, who runs a YouTube channel called “Hades” (@_hadesjunglee), reportedly used obscene and defamatory language targeting high-ranking officials in his videos.

The arrest was carried out by the District Police Office, Panchthar, in collaboration with the Nepal Police Cyber Bureau. Pokharel has been charged under cybercrime laws, and the Panchthar District Court granted a 10-day remand to allow further investigation into the case.
