Himal Hub / The Government of Nepal has announced plans to introduce a national artificial intelligence (AI)-based learning system in public schools as part of a major education reform aimed at modernizing classroom teaching and improving learning outcomes across the country.
The announcement was made during the presentation of the government’s annual policies and programmes for the fiscal year 2026/27, delivered in a joint session of the Federal Parliament by President Ramchandra Paudel.
According to the policy document, Nepal will expand AI-supported digital learning content, e-learning platforms, and virtual classrooms across community schools nationwide.
